- Set your intention to remember your dreams before you go to sleep. Energy follows intent. We help our unconscious to believe we are serious by doing this simple step.
- Have a pad of paper and a pen next to your bed. Write down your dream or at least a few key words before you get out of bed. Sometimes getting up and walking will cause a dream to disappear from consciousness.
- Try not to begin thinking about all you have to do the minute you wake up. Getting into a linear pattern of thinking removes you from that non-linear part of the brain where dreams are created.
- Try not to wake up to a radio. Thinking about a song or the news makes it difficult to hang on to a dream.
- Try to go to bed around the same time every night. Regular sleep patterns help one to remember dreams.
